Ladies, Gentlemen, Radiators...

WE WILL LIVE ON IN YOUR HEARTS AND HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES

I feel we need to say a few thankyou's while we're here, for which our little college band experience would have not been possible. Thanks to everyone who took money off us, everyone who paid to see us - specially our friends who have showed us a lot of support since our first and personally very memorable gig at the Lamp Tavern, thanks to Eddie its wonderous proprieter to whom 'Jersey' is always fondly dedicated, thanks to Lily for being a bit of a flooze, thanks to Jim and Christina Foley (Jim did a pretty good job of running a school aswell)+ Edwina + Steve, all for the lifts and shifting gear and Steve for the photos and Talking Heads comparisons, thanks to our two independent fans for swelling egos, thanks to Tim, Mert, Axl and Cecil of Men in the Air Conditioner fame for doing what they do best. We have played with some nice bands, some good bands and some nice good bands, there are always bad eggs and for that they smell. Being in a band is fun, everyone should do it at least once, it'll never pay the bills and you really should get a proper job, mwah ha ha ha

Yesh, what he said. Cheers. Here's what we got up to since last time:

The Irish Centre - 15/8/6
  • Happy Mother's Day (Casiotone for the Painfully Alone) --->
  • Honey, We Haven't Got A Leg to Stand On
  • La Vie Avant Moi
  • Green
  • Never A Childhood Pyromaniac
  • Christopher Multisonti
  • No Ice
Thanks to peeps who came and that. We had a backstage. The sound was good and we played well. A good time was had by all. Probably the only time we'll play to bemused 10 year olds, jangly hip southern twats, and the elderly. We got through to the next round of the Battle of the Bands (LOLZ) but couldn't play cos Buff Property Devlopment Skin-hitter was in Scots. OHWELL.

Flapper and Firkin - 11/9/6
  • Happy Mother's Day (Casiotone for the Painfully Alone) --->
  • Honey, We Haven't Got A Leg to Stand On
  • La Vie Avant Moi
  • Green
  • Never A Childhood Pyromaniac
  • Spaz Jazz
  • Christopher Multisonti
  • No Ice
Bad sound, twatty soundman. He used to be nice. Bah. I lost it. Spaz Jazz rocked it. Amateurish, sloppy and fuzzy. Sounded like Men in the Air Conditioner. Adam held it together. Abrasive tones. Noisy. Empty room. Short leads, naughty mic stands. Apathy. Keyboard hammering. Stumbling. The best bad gig we've ever done. Thomas Joseph are cool. Loose Joints, fronted by Hurley from Lost, also good. NO MORE. NO WAR. The phrase 'Don't hide that smile' will forever terrify me after tonight. To quote Stobart - 'Fuck you Eddie' (soundman Eddie, not LintheR's spiritual guru Mr Fitzpatrick.)

The Sunflower Lounge - 13/9/6
  • Happy Mother's Day (Casiotone for the Painfully Alone) --->
  • Honey, We Haven't Got A Leg to Stand On
  • La Vie Avant Moi
  • Green
  • No Ice
  • Gays in the Military
  • PFP
  • Christopher Multisonti
Blah. FAN-FACKING-TASTIC. Pleasurable. Funny. Youtube to follow - cross your fingers. I for one would like to see more climbing implements at shows. The sound was LOUD but we pulled through - got quite a crowd in. With thanks to crazy Heather for invading the stage and attempting to pull shapes to some of our tuneage. Lee from LGM is very nice. Makes a change (see the Flapper gig above). Multisonti was FAST and dirrrrty. I think I lost my LitR t-shirt :-(

The Lamp Tavern - 14/9/6
  • Frenchy
  • Christopher Multisonti (Harry Chana Acoustic Version)
The Allies got their timings screwed up. Our last gig was yesterday, lamewads. Chatterchatterchatter. HB Adnam.
